Paediatric Physiotherapy

Milltown Physiotherapy Clinic are delighted to be able to offer a physiotherapy service to our younger patients. Paediatric Physiotherapists have a specific interest and expertise in working with children. One of our team Suzanne Skelton MISCP has worked in the National Children’s Hospital where she gained experience treating children presenting with a wide variety of conditions.

At the Initial Consultation an accurate assessment will be carried out and an individual treatment plan most appropriate to the child’s needs will be decided upon. Paediatric physiotherapy takes into account that the patient is not a small adult but a developing human being.

Many of the conditions treated by a Paediatric Physiotherapist are similar to those treated in a general practice. There are, however, a number of conditions which are related almost entirely to paediatrics, some of which are evident from birth, whilst others occur later during the child’s development. Treatment is by appointment only and can be arranged by contacting the clinic directly.
